It is one of my favourite libraries. The people who work there are just wonderful and pleasant to deal with. The head librarian is such an amazing woman and the programs we were introduced to there have been life changing for my family. This will forever be our Little Victorian Treasure of Romeo because of its history and should remain open just for the historical reasons alone. It was also so great to walk to it while we were residents of Romeo. Thank you so much!!!!
Quaint and small, very nice staff!
DO NOT COME HERE TO STUDY. Very loud and inconsiderate librarian and guests. My friend and I are sitting here trying to study right now, and these people are talking and laughing at full volume right in front of us. I'm highly disappointed that they wouldn't even think that maybe the two people with backpacks and a ton of books might appreciate some indoor, quieter voices.
I was incredibly disappointed by this library. I normally do my studying at McDonald's or Tim Horton's, but I thought I would give this place a try to have more peace and quiet so that I could concentrate. I was met with incredibly rude staff who seem to fail to grasp the concept of what a library is. Not only did the staff member talk continuously for the entire twenty minutes I was there before I stormed out, but she spoke at an obnoxiously-loud volume - so loud that it boomed over the noise-reducing headphones I use to listen to my lectures online. This type of behavior is inconsiderate for a library, and it is downright unacceptable to have come from a staff member who has no regard for controlling the volume of her voice. I took note that there were additional patrons in the library who also seemed to be irritated at the conversation that reverberated throughout the entire library. If you want to go somewhere to read, study, or even have some peace and quiet without hearing someone else basically yelling about their personal lives (specifically the topic of conversation being plays and theatre today), then go ANYWHERE else - McDonald's, Tim Horton's, etc. Again, this is a library, and the staff should know better.
This is a small branch, which means the librarians are happy to spend one on one time with you. They make some great book recommendations! You can have materials from any library in MI shipped to Kezar to be picked up, they offer free music downloads, host events, bookclubs & have a great used book store downstairs with wonderful prices!
